Jon Mohoney began his career on Wall St. with Credit Suisse and Deutsche Bank, in their respective investment banking divisions. Next, Jon went on to late-stage Venture Capital, as an investment committee member of Investor AB’s $2.0B ‘evergreen’ VC fund, Investor Growth Capital (IGC) in Menlo Park, CA. After deploying $100M+ of Series B-E capital, Jon wanted to get operating experience. Post IGC, one of the most prominent investment targets atracted Jon, and he joined at a senior role at Ayasdi (a Kleiner Perkins funded machine learning company). To this day, Ayasdi remains the only startup to ever spin out of the Stanford Math Department.
Led by internationally famed mathematician Gunnar E. Carlson, Ayasdi was a first-mover in applied algebraic topology, and commercialized a product that enabled users to visually interrogate their datasets & connections at one time, in one screen, in rendered 3D space. After leading Western European sales for Ayasdi, personally managing the company’s largest commercial engagement to date (which moved him to Zurich for two years) Jon found his way back to California, joining Google at their Mtn. View HQ in 2016. Jon went on to lead a record-breaking sales team at Google Cloud, in their emerging healthcare division. Jon helped develop, implement and stage truly global, patient ‘health cloud’ architectures. In early 2019 Jon left Google to work full-time with JangoBio’s portfolio of companies.
